The French Organisation for Quality (Mouvement Français pour la Qualité – MFQ) is an association which helps enterprises or administrations to progress by improving quality and innovation. In 1999, a report on benchmarking was published, « Benchmarking, à la recherche des meilleures pratiques », (MFQ, 1999).

Public Administration

Some local and regional administrations have been involved in benchmarking activities:

The 'Euro Info Centre of Orleans' has recently participated in a European Benchmarking Network.

The 'Centre Productique de Haute Savoie' is a service of the Departement which aims to help local industries to improve their competitiveness.

Le Benchmarking Club de Paris

'Le Benchmarking Club' is a private club which aims to promote benchmarking practices. The benchmarking promoted by the club is company benchmarking in all sectors. Its members are essentially big companies like Alstom, Renault, France Telecom or GAN. The club is managed by the consultant LONDEZ Conseil (Paris).

SCENIC

SCENIC is an association, recently created within the framework of ESPRIT, the European Commission's RTD programme for information technologies. The association carries out company benchmarking in the construction industry.
